If you’re struggling to gain traction on one social media platform, it can seem like a big ask to suggest you need to be present across three. But it’s not as difficult as it first sounds.
However, before I show you how you can easily be present on more than one platform, let’s look at why you should be present on at least three of the top platforms in your industry.

If you want to attract new customers, people need to know you exist. You need an audience, and becasue of the way social media algorithms work, you need to keep your audience engaged.
Your customers are likely to be present on several platforms, so if you’re showing up in front of them wherever they go; you have a better chance of staying in front of mind. Then they’re more likely to engage with you.
Depending on the platform, your potential customers will also see you engaging with competitors. There’s nothing like a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) to build your customer base.
It helps your potential customers start to like, and even love you.
Once your customers know you exist, and they see you show up every day across several social platforms, it’s time to make sure they love you. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you need to make EVERYONE love you.
Trying to produce content that everyone loves is a sure-fire way to produce bland content that no one cares about. It’s better to create content that people will either love or hate; that way you know you’ve at least made an impression.
People value honesty, and the more authentic your content is, the more love you’ll receive from your potential customers. Any haters were never going to buy anyway.
It helps more people see your testimonials and reviews – helping you to build trust.
It only takes a minute to copy and paste a review to another platform, and I’m sure most people are happy to do that if they’ve already gone to the trouble of writing one in the first place. So ask your customers, and I’m sure most will oblige.
People love a success story, so don’t shy away from sharing your achievements across all of your platforms. The more people you can reach with this type of content, the better.
